Just bought used ps3 and it freezes in the same place on spiderman game everytime.?

The ps3 is used and the spierman game is new. It freezes up in exact same spot every time. Played a boxing game that came with the ps3 and it seemed to be fine. Could the game be defective|||dont play spiderman|||Buy an Xbox360.|||Check disc integrity, top and bottom.
